FUN FINDS FRIDAY! Cute and wearable Matte Shimmer Liquid Lipstick

I found this fun and very pretty shimmer/matte liquid lipstick on the wish.com site.  It was like $2.00 I think.........I have used it over other matte liquid lipsticks that I have purchased and not liked, and it seems to really help them look nicer (and they were over $10.00!)

UNBOXING of the FABFITFUN Summer Beauty Box!

I got my Summer Edition Box from FabFitFun this past week while I was on vacation, and it was waiting at my neighbors house when I got home on Sunday!  I have seen some YouTube unboxing videos, so I was anxious to see what I got.

The approximate value of the summer box is $278.00.  If you are not familiar with FabFitFun, I will put a link below for you.  The cost is $49.00 but they are not a monthly subscription, it's seasonal, so only four times per year.  I chose to subscribe for the entire year, and pay all at once, so it saved me money by doing so.

https://fabfitfun.com/welcome/   There is a pop up to save 10% on your first box when you sign up for emails!

The box is totally adorable..........and looks like summer and the beach!
The "newsletter" included has all the information on the products that may be included in your box.  There are different things you may get vs. someone else, so not all are included in every box.
This is a little "extra" that they put in for everyone....it's a drink mix that I am anxious to try.  This is unflavored and can be added to any cold or hot beverage. Gluten Free, sugar free, and non GMO which contains peptides and 10 grams of natural collagen.

This is what the box looks like after I tore the paper away.

I am so excited to wear this  Ruana by Michael Stars.  It's a multi-use scarf/shawl/wrap/sarong/etc!
I am so happy I got the blue!  There are three possible colors.  This has a value of $54.00

This is the one and only item that I am not thrilled with.  I am not a dry shampoo user, and I would have rather had the other choice with is Way of Will Sooth and Cool Massage Oil.  The dry shampoo has a $20.00 value.

Seriously............is this really possible?  A company that has my name spelled the same way??  What???  This cute necklace by Kris Nations has a value of $58.00 and I totally love it!  I got the white one, but blue and pink are also available.  The stones on the necklace are hand-cut in India and each one has an attribute that helps you live everyday with positive intentions.  I need to wear it every day!!

This CARGO product I totally love!  I already use many CARGO HD items, so this is right up my ally!  It's a beautiful color, and not too dark so it will give a beautiful bronze glow!  This has a value of $30.00

The two products above are so cute, and will come in very handy on my next trip to Walt Disney World.  One is a passport holder, and the other is a luggage tag. This set has a value of $28.00  With this one you could have received one of 3 things.........the travel (as I did) the Artist, which would have been canvas, brushes acrylic paints, etc.  The last one could have been a Himalayan Pink Salt Kit.

Above is the Ruana opened up and wrapped around me!  Super pretty!

Next is something I have wanted to try.  This is Juice Beauty Soothing Eye Concentrate.  It's for moisture, dark circles and nourishment.  It has certified organic grape and carrot juices blended with essential fatty acids to hydrate and nourish that very tender eye area.  This has a $29.00 value.

Another item that will come in handy on our trip to Florida is this 50SPF sunscreen lotion from Eau Thermale Avene.  This protects and nourishes the skin from UVA/UVB rays and is enriched with antioxidants and soothing Avene Thermal Spring Water.  You can mix this with your foundation for extra sun protection!  This has a value of $24.00

The last item is a great water bottle by BKR.  This is a glass bottle in a 500  mL size.  The coating on the bottle is like a matte rubber for easy grip.  This has a value of $35.00

I hope you enjoyed this "unboxing" and that you might want to take advantage of getting some great full size products like these!  Remember, the link is up in the post!

FUN FINDS FRIDAY! Docolor Flat Contour Brush aka Rainbow Unicorn Brush

Docolor Professional Kabuki Flat Contour Trimming Brush Face Makeup Cosmetic Tool

I found this brush on Amazon.com based on a Youtuber review of this.  I thought it looked cool, not expensive and useful.  I was right!

It's got a great texture to the brush, and it's great for using for contouring.  The handle is a little wide, but I am getting used to it.

TUESDAY TIP OF THE WEEK!

Since it's summer, and vacation/travel season here is a tip that I am passing on that I have found really helpful.   No one wants to take full size or even a 1 oz bottle of fragrance with them when they are traveling.
Too many chances for breakage if you are flying or even luggage in a car.  Great refillable atomizers that are small and fit right in your purse or toiletries bag and won't break or leak.  These are available for sure at Kohl's but I have also ordered them on fragrancenet.com.
https://www.fragrancenet.com/fragrances/discount/perfume-travel-atomizer/perfume#231154

The brand available at Kohl's is TRAVELO, and they run $12.99.  Not sure what the brand is on the fragrance site, but I think they are close in price like $9.99 to $6.49 if you have a coupon.

You take your sprayer off of your fragrance, and "pump" the bottom of the vial onto the fragrance (it usually takes 10-12 times) and it fills the vial.

I take a black permanent marker and write on the vial what's in it.  I do this for two reasons.  One, so I know what's in there, and secondly, I know what to refill it with so I am not mixing my fragrances up in the vial.  (That could be a big mistake!)

My Review of Two Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Highlighters

I am in love with highlighters.  People say, "women over 50 should not wear highlighters."  I say Bull!  If you apply them correctly, they look just as beautiful on more mature skin as they do on younger skin.

Two of the highlighters I really love are from Laura Geller. They are in the Baked Gelato Swirl collection.  They are smooth, and absolutely beautiful.

The first one that I purchased was Peach Glow.  I bought this to go over my peach colored blushes that I usually gravitate to in the summer when I have a tan.  The gives a wonderful glow to the skin on my upper cheekbone, down the center of the nose, on the cupids bow and just a touch above my brows.
It is absolutely beautiful!

The other one is a little more trendy, but it really does give a great radiance to the face.  I use this in the same areas as the other one, and all highlighters for that matter.  This is the "Diamond Dust" color and I use this with all colors of blush.  It's very smooth as well, and almost give a holographic-pearly vibe.

Both of these are used quite often by me, and since they are baked they don't really go down quickly.  You can order them on the Laura Geller website or from Ulta.

Join me again for my next review!

L'Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara Review

I saw Tati Westbrook, (who is one of my favorite YouTuber's ) try out this new L'Oréal  mascara called Voluminous Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara.  She absolutely raved about it, and I am always on the hunt for a great mascara.  I have some favorites but you know there is always that need to find something even better.  My big issue is I have allergies and my eyes water a lot because of those allergies.  I have to wear waterproof mascara completely, or wear a regular mascara and then seal it in with a waterproof to stop from having the mascara run, and getting black streaks on my face.

So, I tried to find this new Lash Paradise at Walgreen and CVS to no avail.  I looked it up on the Ulta.com website, and there is was....and even available in waterproof.  I ordered it with some other things Tati talked about and I will feature those in a later review.

My first try with it was over the top of my regular mascara which is the LORAC Pro Fiber.  I have super short lashes, and no one ever believes me when I tell them that because of the length I get from the LORAC Fiber formulation.  They do not make a waterproof version, so I have to resort to using the "sealing in" method.

I love the brush, it's slightly tapered in the center.

I loved the way the Lash Paradise went on over mascara, but what was going to happen alone.  Well, it was amazing!  I use a fiber (Divaderm) to add to mascara for extra length so I tired it, and this method stayed on ALL DAY LONG!!  I was shocked!  I will continue to use this mascara as long as they make it.  My search is now over...and I have tried many Lancome waterproof formulas (and Lancome is owned by L'Oréal  but is the higher end line of the company.)  I am no longer going to spend $27.00 on a tube of mascara when I can get something I like more for $10.00.

This gets a HUGE thumbs up from me!!

Check back with me again for a new review coming soon!

FUN FINDS FRIDAY!

For any of you who know me well........you know I am a nut for all things Disney......in particular The Little Mermaid.  Ariel is my favorite Disney Princess, and the film itself is in my top five all time favorite Disney movies.

That being said.........when I found this item, I absolutely had to get it!!  This is a Little Mermaid Collection Ariel lipstick by a company called Cute Press.  I ordered it on EBAY the last week, and it arrived today!

I can't wait to start using it as it is a really beautiful deep pinkish red.  Pretty close to the color of Ariel's lips in the movie.

It was a little pricey, but I didn't care!  I will use it, and then keep the tube forever!!

Below is the link to the listing on Ebay!

MY REVIEW of the Academy of Color Shadow Palette and the Strobe & Glow!

I usually don't even try cosmetics that I am not sure about quality, but we sell these at the store, and they were on sale, and I had Kohl's cash to use so I thought......what the heck.

The Academy of Color 9 pan shadow palette is extra beautiful to look at, but the big question is how is the quality?  I was amazed at how little fallout there is for these shadows!  They went on great, have a really good amount of pigment, and they blended really nice.
So, big thumbs up there.
You can find these at Kohl's stores on their "Gorgeous to Go" table by the registers, or at Kohls.com.

Next, we have the STROBE & GLOW 4 Shade Highlighting Palette.  Again, I was extra surprised at the quality and blend-ability of these highlighters.  They were not chunky at all, not super glittery, but gave a really nice glow!  There is a HUGE amount of bling to these so a little goes a long way!

All in all, these get a HUGE thumbs up from me!

TUESDAY TIP OF THE WEEK. Change up your fragrance for summer!

I know that fragrance is a really personal thing..........
I get that.
I sell fragrance. I have my taste, and others have their own.  This is why there as soooooooooo many fragrances on the market.

My recommendation is to really change up your fragrance for summer.  Go lighter, fresher, cooler.

Heavy fragrances for winter are great.  Spicy and woodsy notes are great for colder weather because fragrance is really a mental thing.  Something spicy or woodsy brings on thought of warmth.  In the winter we need that (especially here in the mid-west.)

In summer we need citrus, or green tea or very light fresh floral to make us feel cooler.  I know on a hot day when I spray on something with citrus, I mentally feel 10 degrees cooler.

It's time to start that switch up if you have not done so already!

That's my tip for this week!  Thanks for stopping by!

My Favorite Shampoos and Conditioners for Color Treated Hair

Most stylists I have talked to over the years always recommend "switching up" on your shampoos often.  This way your hair will not get used to one thing only, and become lack-luster due to build-up.  I change weekly between the three brands below.

Here are my favorite shampoos and conditioners for dry, damaged and color treated hair.  They make my hair feel and look great.  They will be pictured in order of how I like them.

Hask is one of the best I have ever used! Even better than some expensive "salon" formulas like Redken. I get the Argan Oil formula.  I also love their hair oil that I use before and after blow drying, for a beautiful shine!

The Gliss linefrom Schwartzkopf is new.  I saw a youtuber talk about it, and there there was a coupon in the paper, plus CVS had it on sale with your CVS rewards card for $5.00 each.  I only paid $8.00 for both when I purchased them.  These are large bottles so you get a lot of product for your money.

I also love these Garnier Whole Blends formulations.  The Coconut Water and Vanilla Milk formula is great.  This one I like the least, but it's still a nice product for the money.

I hope this has given you some good information when seeking out new shampoo and conditioner formulas when you need a switch-out for a while.
