So, I snapped this picture in my car before I headed to work. I wanted to take the photo in daylight so I could really see what the powder looks like. It looks really nice, and very natural. I am pretty pleased!

FUN (and useful) FINDS FRIDAY!
This week I am featuring a product that was kind of a fun find, but is extremely useful in many ways. I was made aware of this product by one the the YouTubers I watch (the old "youtube made me buy it scenario!)
Anyway, I am really glad I purchased this product, and I look forward to using it today. It is made in China, and I usually don't buy cosmetics from China, however I did some checking and it said this brand does not test on animals, and the box does confirm that with the bunny symbol on it. (I might have returned it if I did not get that clarification.)
So, here you go. This product is by Music Flower. It is a 5 shade powder set that includes a White powder at the top which to me feels like a finishing powder. Next there is an ivory for light skin tones. A "skin tone" for normal skin tone ( that strikes me funny..........why do they call it normal.....normal for who??)
Next there is a Natural for deeper, and lastly a Brown. The Brown is something I am going to try for contouring. Since I am pretty light most of the time, this isn't so dark that I can't use it for something like that. It's a matte finish, so I think it will work. I want to mention that shade for "Normal" does have a shimmer to it, so it can possibly be used for a highlighter or a brightening finishing powder. I will test that out.
(I know it's kind of hard to tell the difference between these colors in the photos, sorry!)
I am going to test them all out today when I get ready for work. I will post a follow up picture later in the day after I put on all my makeup.

Tuesday Tip of the Week! Self Tanner Best Results
When using a "self tanner," make sure to exfoliate your skin the DAY BEFORE.......this way your tan will last longer. Getting that dull dead skin off the surface, will help you "tan" more evenly, and it will last days longer as well.
**Some of my favorite self-tanner brands are TAN TOWEL(both the towelettes and the lotion), NKD SKN (both the mousse and the lotions) and TAN PHYSICS (lotion formula).
Both TAN TOWEL and NKD SKN are available at your local Kohl's store, or kohls.com . I got my TAN PHYSICS on AMAZON.
With summer fast approaching I want to be ready for it, and not look like the ghostly pale person I am!
Hope this tip helps you out!!!

FUN FINDS FRIDAY!
A trend I have seen on YouTube as of late (and you know I am a sucker for that)....
are these "fish tail" makeup brushes.
I found one on Hollar.com, so I had to pick one up. I think it was around $2 or $3 so I thought, what the heck.
It's not really good for much, but it actually looks like a mermaid tail, so I had to get it!
What I did find it useful for was to to my nose contour with my bronzer. It has a really nice edge for that, so it works pretty well.

FUN FINDS FRIDAY! Review of W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow
So, I am all about saving money when it's "worth it". You know the saying, "you get what you pay for"? Well, most of the time that holds true, however this time I gotta say spending less gets you more!
The W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow palette is totally beautiful. When I tell you how much I paid for it, you will be shocked! It is being compared to the Charlotte Tilbury Bronze & Glow Filmstar set, which is about 20 times the amount I paid for the W7 set. Seriously! I kid you not! ($68.00)
Charlotte Tilbury set above.........
W7 set above. It's beautiful, great pigment in the bronzer, and not chalky or glittery for the highlighter side. It blended on great, and I am very pleased.......
and with the cost of $3.70 on AMAZON..........you need to get this!

TUESDAY Tip of the Week!
Hey gang!! Here is a tip I learned a couple years ago, and it really works great for me. If you have down-turned, or aging eyes, (and I have both!) to give the illusion of more definition, or "upturn" that eye, use tape when applying shadows.
This will give you a nice straight line, it will allow for easier blending of shadows, and catch shadow "fallout" at the same time. You can you scotch tape, or what I prefer is medical paper tape (which I buy at the drugstore).
Please excuse the rest of my makeup and hair! I just came in from working outside and wanted to get this posted!

Friday Fun Finds! LIQUE, the New Cosmetic Line at Kohl's!
So, we found out a couple months ago that we were getting another new cosmetic line at Kohl's.
This one however, is a bit different. First off, it's totally about lips. This way, they can totally concentrate on making the best products out there for lips. Secondly, the line will only be sold at Kohl's!! The name of the line is pronounced LICK..........get it...lick your lips!?!
We had a webinar with the owner of the company back in March. She is very enthusiastic about this endeavor, and it's nice to see such excitement in the marketplace.
She told us about the products that I just did the set for today, but others to follow shortly such as treatment products, balms, scrubs, etc. again, all for lips.
As I set the line today, I was making testers and of course swatching the colors that appealed to me. I wasn't really shocked at the quality after what I had learned, but more amazed.
I went on my lunch break, and while there I usually touch up my makeup after I eat. Today, I did everything except my lips. I wanted to try the LIQUE and in particular, one of the Metallic Liquid formulas. I was blown away at how smooth it went on, and how it was not tacky or sticky. (I used makeup remover to take it off when I washed my face tonight...5 hours after putting it on!)
I bought two metallic liquid lip colors, and two of the cream lipstick shades.
The liquid lipstick shades run $12 and the lipsticks run $14. Really on par with drugstore pricing.
Very pigmented color for the liquids which come in four metallic colors, and eight matte finishes.
The lipsticks come in twelve shades.
I am not telling you about something I have not tried myself. That's not right. I spent over $45 buying these products because I want to use them, and educate myself on the line so I can give educated information to my customers. As a matter of fact, I was talking to a lady who was shopping in beauty, she asked me what I was wearing, and bought that, and two other items for the line.
I have swatched my arm with two of the metallic shades I bought which are the two on the left, and the cream lipsticks are the two on the right.
The first metallic on the left is VIBES and the second one is FRENCH KISS.
The two creams on the right are from left to right OBSESSED and LOVER.
If you get a chance soon run into your local Kohl's store and check them out. Tell the beauty advisor (unless you come see me of course!) That Kris from Highland 229 sent you!
Join me again next Friday for another Fun Finds Friday. :-)
