FABULOUS FINDS FRIDAY! Makeup Revolution Highlighter and Shadows!

I went into Ulta a few weeks ago to use my $3.50 coupon, and I knew that I could use it on products by Makeup Revolution since I have done it in the past.

These are the things I picked up.........

A highlighter....(like I really need any more of these!!!) It's got a lavender-ish tint ans super pretty.

The shadow compact us really shimmery so I use it for for accenting my matte colors, and these tones are very pretty, and make my green eyes look greener!

Very reasonable in price, and nice quality.

The Spring Box from fabfitfun!

The Spring box from fabfitfun is an interesting mix of items this time around.  Some I kinda went......huh? and then other things I loved!

Here are the photos from the box as I opened it..........value of the box was close to $350.00!  This one was a big one because they are celebrating their 5th Anniversary!

FABULOUS FINDS FRIDAY! Christie Brinkley Makeup!

At Kohl's we have carried Christie Brinkley Skincare for quite some time now.  What's new though is her line of cosmetics to go along with the wonderful skincare.

It just arrived in our store about 10 days ago.  Of course I have to purchase things from the line because I have to tell customers about it, and not just from playing around with it in the store.

I have been extremely impressed with the items I bought "so far" and I am sure I will like what ever else I get as well.

I made the decision to get a blush and a shadow palette.  They both feel like silk.  The entire cosmetic line is very affordable for the quality you are getting.  The blush is $22.00 and the shadow palette was $28.00.

Christie made some great choices with packaging.  Everything is in a beautiful rose gold metallic.  This is the not trend in everything, so she did well.

The blush color I picked is called THRILL, and it's a pink tone, but with a little brown as well.  It looks beautiful on my skin.  The other choice is more of a peachy tone.

The shadow palette I picked is the Golden Brown Nudes.  These are "my kinda colors" for sure......and again, they are very high quality for the price.

Not all Kohl's store will be getting the line, and some have not yet received it but will.  If you are interested in seeing it, make sure to call your local store to inquire if they have it.

Since we were focusing on what NOT to do with your makeup in January and February, I thought for March we would switch it up a bit and feature some really beautiful looks! Since I have green eyes, and it's my birthday last week, I thought I would feature a look I use pretty often!

Fabulous Finds Friday! Pur Minerals

We got this set in at Kohl's a few weeks ago, and I purchased it to take on my then upcoming vacation.  Blush, bronzer, highlighter all in one compact.  Also a beautiful lipstick and a travel size mascara.

Perfect for a Florida vacation to Walt Disney World it for sure got packed in my makeup bag.  The blush is a beautiful tropical color.  The bronzer is a little dark for me in the winter but since I was hopefully going to get some color it worked out great.  The highlighter was a beautiful in-your-face pow!

$26.00 for all this!  Well worth the money.  I barely cracked into it, so I will have it for the summer as well!

When you shop at Kohl's for beauty, this can be found on the Gorgeous to Go table normally by the Misses side registers.

FABULOUS FINDS FRIDAY! Two Faced Love Hangover Love Flush Blush

I have been looking for a light and slim type blush to carry on my trip.  So many of my cases are thicker and take up a lot of room in my bag.  So happy I ordered this, because it's perfect for the size, and I am in love with the blush itself!   The color is a peach with a slight pink cast and a minimal pearl to it.

Using a fluffy brush, you can get just a wisp of color, and using a tighter packed brush, you can get major color payoff!  It blends out beautifully!!

Happy Friday everyone!

We recently started to carry Mally at Kohl's.  So far all I have tried has been great.  One of the things I had not tried are her foundations.  I made the decision to try the H3 Moisturizing Foundation formula doe to my dry winter skin.

I have to say that I really like it a lot.  It does give a hydrated look to my skin, even though I set with powder.  I have not used the Mally powder as of yet.  I will follow-up with that if I ever do.  I am pretty set on my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.  They match up pretty well together.

If you are in the market for a new foundation and you have drier skin, this is one I can say looks and makes my skin feel really nice.

FABULOUS FINDS FRIDAY! Kate Sommerville ExfoliKate

In my last shipment from fabfitfun, this was one of the products that was in there.  It's a average priced exfoliating treatment, and performs very well.

This is 1.7 fl. oz, which is not a huge amount for an exfoliating treatment but runs around $24.99 on most sites I looked at.

I would recommend using this 2-3 times a week for optimum results.   I really think anyone with any skin type would like this product.

Fabulous Finds Friday! Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Foundation

You know I am always on the hunt for my readers to find a new foundation to try.  Some have been really bad..........and some have been unbelievably good, and others have been average.  Then, there are some that take me totally by surprise.

This one we are talking about today really took me by surprise.  The Wet n Wild PhotoFocus foundation has really surprised me in a good way.  So many drug store brands have really stepped up their game in the marketplace and have not increased their prices, or kept them very reasonable.  I have spent $40.00 on a foundation that I didn't like as much as this one.  If it's great, I will buy it.  I can say I have tried things from $8.99 to $46.00.  There are good and bad in the mix no matter how much you spend.

I like the consistency of this one, I like the applicator, the color choices were good too.  This is only $5.99 at Walgreens, so I am sure it's about the same anyplace else as well.

FABULOUS FINDS FRIDAY! Elf Shadow Quad.

SO, I ordered this shadow quad from Waltgreens website.  Not sure how it was going to work since I have so many allergies to so many things.......but it was inexpensive enough to give it a shot. 

I gotta tell you truthfully.........

I am shocked by the quality. 

Blends well, good pigments......and small!  

Very portable, and will be great for travel!

With a trip coming up in less than 30 days, I have been looking for small things to pack!

I found it!

This quad is called Golden Goddess.
